Professor of Belgian, European and International Tax law and Policy at the Faculty of Law and Criminology and Head of the Institute of European Studies (UCLouvain)

He is a visiting professor at the KULeuven. He has been a visiting professor at the WU Vienna in 2013-2014, as well as in other European universities (Münster, Valencia, Bologna).

He was Vice-Dean of International Relations of the Faculty of Law and Criminology at UCLouvain (2009-2016).

He is a member of the International Fiscal association (IFA) and of the European Association of Tax Law Professors (EATLP), for which he was the General reporter of the 2017 Congress on "Corporate residence and mobility" (Lodz, 30 May-1 June 2017)

He holds editorial responsibilities of several tax law journals ( World Journal of VAT/GST Law, Intertax, Rivista di diritto tributario internazionale, Revue Générale du contentieux fiscal, Revue de Fiscalité régionale et locale).

He frequently speaks at international and domestic conferences (including TEDx) and extensively published on EU and international tax issues. He has also been consulted on taxation and public finance issues by public authorities at EU, Belgian federal and regional level.

He was also a lawyer Of Counsel at the Brussels Bar since 2007 (Liedekerke).
